abstract | This organic electroluminescent device (1) comprises a supporting substrate (2), an organic electroluminescent element (3), a moisture absorption layer (4) containing a moisture-absorbing component, and a moisture-proof layer (5) that is provided on the moisture absorption layer (4) and contains a moisture-proofing component. A concentration gradient layer (6) containing the moisture-absorbing component and the moisture-proofing component is interposed between the moisture absorption layer (4) and the moisture-proof layer (5). The concentration gradient layer (6) has a portion in which the content of the moisture-absorbing component continuously decreases from the moisture absorption layer (4) side toward the moisture-proof layer (5) side. |
