titleOfInvention Methods and compositions for production of watermelon fruit
abstract The invention provides containers comprising at least one or at least two seedlings or at least two vegetatively-propagated materials of at least one seedless watermelon variety and at least one seedling or at least one vegetatively-propagated material of a seeded pollenizer watermelon variety. The present invention further provides methods for producing watermelon fruit, optionally over an extended season, comprising planting together in a container at least one seedling or vegetatively-propagated material of a seedless watermelon variety and at least one seedling or vegetatively-propagated material of a seeded pollenizer watermelon variety, wherein the at least one seedling of a seeded pollenizer watermelon variety produces male flowers in sufficient time to pollenize female flowers of the at least one seedling of a seedless watermelon variety.
