A "light-emitting device capable of causing colors and objects to assume a natural, vivid, highly visible, and pleasant appearance," wherein the spectral distribution is of a completely different configuration than conventional spectral distributions while excellent characteristics in terms of appearance of colors are maintained, whereby the light source efficiency is improved. A light-emitting device having at least, as light-emitting elements, a blue semiconductor light-emitting element, a green phosphor, and a red phosphor, the light-emitting device being characterized in that light emitted from the light-emitting device in the main radiation direction satisfies all specific conditions. |
