The purpose of the present invention is to synthesize a multi-branched polymer having uniform molecular chain lengths and having no defect in branches without requiring purification.nA polyfunctional radical polymerization initiator represented by the formula shown below (formula 1), said polymerization initiator being characterized in that n is a natural number of 1 or greater, Y represents a polyfunctional unsaturated compound, R 1 represents a hydrocarbon group, R 2 represents a structure in which one molecule of an unsaturated hydrocarbon compound having radical polymerizability is linked between R 1 and an oxygen atom, X 1 in the B-X 1 (boron-X 1 ) bond represents an alkoxy group or a phenyl group, and X 2 in the B-X 2 (boron-X 2 ) bond represents an alkoxy group or a phenyl group. |
