abstract |
The present invention relates to a device (1) for washing vapours resulting from any process of evaporation of a solution obtained after the use of hydrochloric acid for the leaching of ore or the recovery of coal incineration residues which are in the form of ash/slags or in alumina production unit residues which are in the form of red sludge, comprising at least one evaporation/crystallization apparatus (10) within which at least one solution of metal chloride is subjected to steam heating in order to concentrate or crystallize and recover said metal in chloride form, characterized in that it also comprises a means (20) for washing the hydrochloric acid-loaded steam in order to absorb and/or neutralize the hydrochloric acid created in the evaporation/crystallization apparatus (10) during the heating. |
