abstract | The invention relates to a method for the depolymerization of a deproteinized natural rubber for the preparation of a modified polyisoprene mainly comprising a mixture of the species functionalized at one of the two ends thereof by one or more functional groups and the species functionalized at both ends thereof by one or more function groups, wherein said method comprises the following steps: i) a step of preparing a deproteinized natural rubber solution comprising the deproteinized natural rubber, one or more organic solvents, and one or more surfactants, then ii) a step of adding, to the deproteinized natural rubber solution, one or more transfer agents comprising said functional group or groups, iii) a step of adding, to the deproteinized natural rubber solution, one or more metathesis catalysts. The invention also relates to a modified polyisoprene obtainable using the aforementioned method. Lastly, the invention relates to an elastomeric composition made of the aforementioned modified polyisoprene. |
