abstract |
The purpose of the present invention is to compensate for drive transistor characteristic variation in a display device that uses a gate driver circuit formed from a single-channel TFT. When a clock signal (CLK1, CLK2) pulse number and a compensation-target-line address indicating a compensation-target line match, the following control is carried out with the point (t17) one horizontal scanning period after the point (t16) of the matching as the starting point of a current measurement period. At the current measurement period starting point (t17) and a current measurement period ending point (t18), only the potential of the signal from among the clock signals (CLK1, CLK2) that is applied to a unit circuit corresponding to the compensation-target line is changed. Throughout the current measurement period, the clock operation of the clock signals (CLK1 to CLK4) is stopped. A monitor enable signal (Moni_EN) that is applied to a control terminal of an output control transistor for controlling active signal output to a monitor control line is only set to a high level during the current measurement period. |
