abstract |
Provided is a positive electrode for an alkali storage battery, capable of increasing the active substance utilization ratio while suppressing self-discharge. This positive electrode for an alkali storage battery includes a conductive support body and a positive electrode active substance adhering to the support body. The positive electrode active substance includes nickel oxide particles, and the nickel oxide particles include a first particle group of particles with a particle diameter of 20μm or greater, and a second particle group of particles with a particle diameter of less than 20μm. The first particle group comprises first component particles having a crack and second component particles not having a crack, and the first particle group makes up at least 15% of the nickel oxide particles by volume, and the first component particles make up at least 15% of the first particle group by number of particles. |
