abstract The objective of the present invention is to provide a technology that can suppress degradation of a storage battery. That which is able to capture sodium and sulfur is used as a treatment agent for treating a Li-transition metal cathode active material containing lithium and a transition metal. The treatment agent is used in a gel form, and the treatment agent is effective because the Li-transition metal cathode active material contains sodium and sulfur as impurities.
