abstract The present invention relates to: a porous separation membrane substrate having an inverse opal structure prepared using a highly heat resistant plastic engineering resin; and a method for preparing the separation membrane substrate. The method prepares a porous substrate having an inverse opal structure by forming an opal structure by using an uncross-linked polymer resin, allowing a cross-linked polymer resin to penetrate into the opal structure, and dissolving polymer particles forming the opal structure with an organic solvent. According to the present invention, a separation membrane, which has remarkable porosity and air permeability and does not have the problems of heat resistance deterioration, pore clogging and thickness reduction, can be prepared.
