titleOfInvention Apparatus for the automatic preparation of sputum samples
abstract The invention relates to an apparatus for the automatic preparation of sputum samples, using the Ziehl Neelsen staining method, in order to provide the prepared samples with a uniformity and standardisation which allows the staff responsible for the analysis of the microbiological samples to carry out a study that provides more accurate results. The apparatus consists of: a supporting structure whereon the mechanical and electronic components are arranged; a carousel whereon the substances to be used during the method are arranged; and a linear movement structure for an alcohol burner that allows same to move linearly in order to uniformly heat the sample. The staining apparatus also has a control module, sensors and actuators, such that the automatic staining of the sample is performed according to the above-mentioned method.
