Apparatus for the automatic preparation of sputum samples |
abstract |
The invention relates to an apparatus for the automatic preparation of sputum samples, using the Ziehl Neelsen staining method, in order to provide the prepared samples with a uniformity and standardisation which allows the staff responsible for the analysis of the microbiological samples to carry out a study that provides more accurate results. The apparatus consists of: a supporting structure whereon the mechanical and electronic components are arranged; a carousel whereon the substances to be used during the method are arranged; and a linear movement structure for an alcohol burner that allows same to move linearly in order to uniformly heat the sample. The staining apparatus also has a control module, sensors and actuators, such that the automatic staining of the sample is performed according to the above-mentioned method. |
