Methods and systems are disclosed comprising: a server in communication with one or more client computers over a network; and an electronic repository coupled to the server that contains a mapping of genetic components to particular attributes of one or more different types of source organisms, the electronic repository configured with storage and search functions, wherein the storage function is operable to catalog source organism attributes and responsible genes, genetic sequences or biological molecules, and wherein the retrieval function is operable to receive queries from the client computers, search for specific records based on attributes, genes, genetic sequence, biological molecules or product criteria, and return the specific records to the client computers. |
