abstract |
The present invention provides a seamless capsule for exterminating harmful insects that is particularly effective against termites. Said seamless capsule for exterminating harmful insects: has few adverse effects on ecosystems unrelated to harmful insects, such as people using said seamless capsule, and nearby livestock and beneficial insects; has excellent safety; is excellent in terms of the proportion transported (i.e., the transport rate) by harmful insects, particularly termites; and improves pest control efficiency per number transported or per hour. The present invention further provides a method for exterminating harmful insects using the seamless capsule for exterminating harmful insects. The present invention pertains to a seamless capsule for exterminating harmful insects: comprising a coating material layer containing a non-encapsulating material and an encapsulating material; having an active ingredient for exterminating harmful insects contained in the encapsulating material and/or the coating material layer; and imitating termite eggs by coating the surface with an egg-identifying pheromone. Furthermore. the present invention is characterized by having a surface roughness (Ra) of 0.005 to 5 μm. |
