abstract The invention relates to a viscoelastic material characterised in that it is produced by recovery of the hydrophobic phase obtained by a method of hydrothermal liquefaction from a biomass comprising at least one microalga and comprising at least 40 wt.% of water in relation to the total weight of the biomass, said hydrophobic phase comprising a viscoelastic oil and solid residues, wherein the quantity of solid residues amounts to between 15 wt.% and 30 wt.% of the total weight of the hydrophobic phase.
