titleOfInvention Nanosalt, cryogenic grinding process, aerosol and use of said aerosol
abstract The present invention patent application relates to: a) a sodium chloride (NaCl) nanoparticulate material having particles of less than 500 nm; b) a cryogenic grinding process for refined, iodized salt, or other substances such as soluble and insoluble salts, oxides or complex bioactive substances, such as caffeine, coenzymes, metals, dietary elements, vitamins, essential oils, pure or combined; and c) an aerosol comprised of 1-99% by weight gas propellants and 1-99% nanoparticles. Due to the reduced size of the particles in the sodium chloride nanoparticulate material, there is greater distribution thereof on taste buds and greater salty taste perception, wherein said nanoparticulate material can be used in a smaller amount than conventional salt to obtain the same salty taste perception. The cryogenic grinding process consists of the steps of drying and cryogenic grinding in a micronizer containing liquid nitrogen or other cooling liquid, at temperatures of -10 to -150°C. The aerosol preferably comprises 10-20% by weight sodium chloride and 80-90% gas propellants, wherein said propellants can be compressed air, butane, dimethyl ether, carbon dioxide, isobutane, isopentane, hydrofluorocarbon 134a, hydrofluorocarbon 152a, hydrofluorocarbon 227, nitrogen, nitrous oxide, pentane and propane, alone or in any proportion.
