titleOfInvention Automated optomechanical platform for molecular detection by surface plasmon resonance
abstract An automated optomechanical platform for molecular detection by surface plasmon resonance allows working with the particular conditions necessary to excite the plasmon resonance. This makes it possible to optimize parameters to maximize sensitivity and improve detection of different analytes immersed in different matrices. For example, the detection of chemicals in water requires a different equipment configuration than that necessary for toxin detection in bovine milk. The platform comprises a light source, opticfal fibers, a pair of goniometers, a sensor, and an automated microfluidic device.
