The present invention provides a liquid crystal medium composition. The liquid crystal medium composition comprises the following components: a negative liquid crystal material, a stabilizer, one or multiple types of polymerizable monomers that can carry out a polymerization reaction under irradiation of ultraviolet light and a photoinitiator that can carry out a polymerization reaction. A general structural formula of the polymerizable monomers comprises an aromatic ring and at least one polymerizable group that is connected to the aromatic ring. A benzene ring or a cyclohexane is added to a structural formula of the photoinitiator that can carry out the polymerization reaction in the liquid crystal medium composition of the present invention. Compared with an existing photoinitiator, a molecular structure thereof has a larger conjugated system. Therefore, an absorption wavelength range of the photoinitiator that can carry out the polymerization reaction to the ultraviolet light is widened, and thus absorption strength is increased. When initiating the polymerization reaction, the photoinitiator greatly improves an initiation efficiency because energy of the ultraviolet light is better used. |
