A compound represented by general formula (1) is useful as a light-emitting material. In general formula (1), Ar 1 to Ar 3 independently represent an aryl group, wherein Ar 2 and Ar 3 are the same as each other, and at least one of Ar 1 to Ar 3 represents an aryl group which is substituted by a group represented by general formula (2). In general formula (2), R 1 to R 8 independently represent a hydrogen atom or a substituent, Z represents O, S, R 9 -N, (R 10 )(R 11 )C or (R 12 )(R 13 )Si, and R 9 to R 13 independently represent a hydrogen atom or a substituent. |
