titleOfInvention | Method of protecting skin from an environmental stressor |
abstract | A method of protecting skin from an environmental stressor, for example UV radiations, that includes identifying a target skin portion where protection from environmental stress is desired and topically applying a suitable skin care composition thereto. The skin composition includes a safe and effective amount of a vitamin B 3Compound, a safe and effective amount of a salicylate or a suitable derivative of salicylate, an organic sunscreen active, and a dermatologically acceptable carrier. The composition has a pH of between about 5 and about 7, and is left on the target skin portion for a sufficient amount of time for the vitamin B 3Compound and salicylate to provide protection from the environmental stressor. |
