abstract |
Provided are: a rubber composition for tires that maintains or improves good elongation at break, prevents discoloration, and is capable of improving ozone resistance; and a pneumatic tire using same. This rubber composition for tires includes: a rubber component; a naturally-derived wax having an ester component content of 40%-98% by mass; a phenylenediamine-based and/or a quinone-based antioxidant; and a specific non-ionic surfactant. The diene-based rubber content within 100% by mass rubber component is 70-100% by mass. The naturally-derived wax content is 0.01-5.0 parts by mass with respect to 100 parts by mass rubber component, the petroleum-derived wax content is 0-6.0 parts by mass, the combined phenylenediamine-based and quinone-based antioxidant content is 1.0-8.0 parts by mass, and the non-ionic surfactant content is 0.1-5.0 parts by mass. |
