abstract The invention relates to a medical clip (3, 5), designed in particular for endoscopic application in the body of a living organism, preferably for staunching internal bleeding, said clip having at least two shanks (11) which by way of an actuation part (13) can be spread relative to each other at different angles of spread, wherein to this end the actuation part can be arranged such as to be mobile relative to a control part (5), characterized in that the control part (5) comprises a positioning device (26, 27, 29, 41) which cooperates with the mobile actuation part (13) in such a way that in definable, discrete positions the positioning part counteracts the actuation part (13) to be moved with a resistance of a specific value, a defined angle of spread of the shafts (11) being assigned to said resistance value.
