Provided is a glycerin-modified silicone that in itself has excellent emulsification and dispersion performance and an excellent gelling effect, particularly if the oil phase is a continuous phase. Provided is a specific diglycerin derivative-modified silicone having intramolecular long-chain hydrocarbon groups at a specific ratio and having as hydrophilic groups only diglycerin derivative groups that do not have an oxyalkylene structure in which the average number of repeating oxyalkylene units is two or more. Also provided is a composition that contains the diglycerin derivative-modified silicone. |
