abstract The present invention relates to the technical field of capacitors, and specifically relates to a highly reliable motor starting/intermittent operation capacitor. Same comprises a housing and a capacitor core arranged within the housing, and is characterized in that: the capacitor core is formed by winding two polyester thin-film polarized dielectric layers. The capacitor primarily solves the technical problem that an existing aluminum electrolytic starting capacitor is of a large leakage current, high energy consumption, and low reliability and safeness, and that an existing metallized film starting capacitor is of a large size, complex product structure, and high costs, thus greatly increasing the comprehensive performance of the starting capacitor.
