abstract | The present invention relates to a process to (partially) hydrogenate unsaturated bonds of a (co)polymer substrate comprising adding a titanium compound to the (co)polymer substrate, activating the titanium compound by adding an organometallic compound, and reacting said substrate with hydrogen in the presence of the activated titanium compound, wherein the titanium compound is added to the reaction mixture as a titanium compound-containing composition containing between 5 and 95 wt% on the total weight of the composition of the titanium compound and between 5 and 95 wt% on the total weight of the composition of at least one (co)polymer, wherein the titanium compound is distributed in the at least one (co)polymer,and relates to titanium compound-containing compositions that can be suitably used in the above process and their preparation. |
