Disclosed are a method, device, and system for playing a surveillance video. The method for playing a surveillance video comprises: a video surveillance management device receiving a surveillance video browsing request from a client device, and authenticating, according to the request, a user that sends the surveillance video browsing request by using the client device; if the user that sends the surveillance video browsing request has a right to view collection data, sending a first link address corresponding to the request of the user to the client device; and sending video data and the collection data to the client device according to a data request returned by the client device and carrying the first link address, so that the client device can superpose the video data and the collection data and then play the data. In the foregoing manner, according to the present invention, the collection data and the video data can be superposed and played only when the user has a right to view the collection data, so that the surveillance video is played more flexibly, and the problem that all people have to see the collection data is avoided. |
