abstract |
The present invention provides a method for deprotecting a protected organic compound with high efficiency by catalytic hydrogenation. Specifically, the present invention provides a method characterized by deprotecting an organic compound that has at least one functional group selected from the group consisting of a carboxy group, an amino group and a hydroxy group and is protected by a protecting group represented by formula (I): R 1 -C(R 2 )(R 3 )-L 1 - [wherein R 1 represents an aryl group which may have a substituent; R 2 and R 3 independently represent a hydrogen atom or an aryl group which may have a substituent; and L 1 represents a single bond, -O-CO- or -O-CH 2 -] by hydrogenating the organic compound in the presence of a metal catalyst and a halogenated acetate. |
