abstract | [Problem] A solid state imaging element provided with an organic layer, which comprises an organic material, between a plurality of pixel electrodes and a counter electrode, wherein peeling of the interface between the organic layer and the counter electrode is inhibited, and yield is increased. [Solution] A solid state imaging element provided with: a plurality of pixel electrodes (12) arrayed two-dimensionally on a substrate; a counter electrode (17) provided opposite to the pixel electrodes (12); and an organic layer (16) provided between the pixel electrodes (12) and the counter electrode (17), and formed from an organic material. A relief portion (25) is formed on the counter electrode (17) side surface of the organic layer (16), and the relief portion (25) has first relief portions (25a) that are formed at positions facing the pixel electrodes (12) and second relief portions (25b) that are formed at positions facing the spaces between pixel electrodes (12). |
