Liquid crystal composition and liquid crystal display element incorporating same |
abstract |
The problem to be resolved by the present invention is to provide a liquid crystal composition suited to a liquid crystal display element and a liquid crystal display element incorporating said composition. The liquid crystal composition allows a stable amount of a liquid crystal material to be discharged in ODF, causes minimal incidence of landed droplets smudging during manufacture, and has no adverse effect on properties associated with the firing of a display element or on a variety of properties of liquid crystal display elements, such as dielectric anisotropy, viscosity, nematic-phase upper-limit temperature, low-temperature nematic-phase stability, and y 1 . Provided is a liquid crystal composition having negative dielectric anisotropy and containing one or more compounds represented by general formula (I) and one or more compounds represented by general formula (II). Additionally provided is a liquid crystal display element that incorporates a liquid crystal composition having negative dielectric anisotropy and containing one or more compounds represented by general formula (I) and one or more compounds represented by general formula (II). |
