abstract | The present invention provides a topical composition comprising lidocaine wherein the pH of the composition is 6.5 to 7.5 and wherein 10 to less than 50 wt% of the lidocaine is in its base form. There is also provided such a compound for use in the treatment, prevention or alleviation of pain and/or inflammation. According to a further aspect, there is provided the compound for use in the treatment of a condition such as cystitis, proctitis, infections associated with wounds and/or the urinary bladder and premature ejaculation. |
