abstract [Problem] The purpose of the present invention is to provide a ground fabric for an airbag in which the initial air permeability is low even with a small amount of coating, the flammability rating is excellent, and the amount of thread fraying is low when the fabric is cut with a knife or sewn. [Solution] Provided is a ground fabric for an airbag, characterized by the following: the ground fabric is a coated fabric formed by coating a resin composition onto at least one side thereof; the amount of the resin composition coated onto one side of the fabric is 0.1-10 g/m 2 by mass after drying; the air permeability with a 100 kPa pressure differential is 0.05 L/cm 2 /min or less; the flammability as measured in accordance with FMVSS 302 is "self-extinguishing;" and no more than five end threads fray after 100 repetitions of a scrub test in compliance with ISO 5981.
