Provided is a silver-plated material with excellent heat resistance, bending workability and abrasion resistance. In this silver-plated material which comprises a 10μm or thinner surface layer consisting of silver and formed on a material consisting of copper or a copper alloy, by setting the full width at half maximum of the rocking curve of the preferential orientation plane of the surface layer (preferably, the {200} plane or the {111} plane) to 2-8°, and preferably to 3-7°, the out-of-plane orientation of the surface layer is improved and the heat resistance, bending workability and abrasion resistance of the silver-plated material are improved. |
