abstract A backlight source and a display device. The backlight source comprises an optical module (1) and a light source component (2) provided at the side of the optical module (1). The light source component (2) includes a light source (21), a first optical element (22) and a second optical element (23). The first optical element (22) is used to convert the light emitted by the light source (21) into a parallel light which is transmitted to the second optical element (23). The second optical element (23) is used to reflect the parallel light transmitted from the first optical element (22) to the optical module (1). The backlight source can decrease the using quantity of the LED lamp greatly, increase the backlight efficiency and save the cost.
