abstract Disclosed are an apparatus and a method for estimating output of a secondary battery including a blended anode material. The apparatus according to the present invention comprises: a sensor for measuring a discharge current of a secondary battery; and a controller. The secondary battery comprises an anode, a cathode, and a separation membrane, wherein the anode includes a blended anode material in which at least a first anode material and a second anode material are blended, and the operating voltage range of the first anode material is higher than the operating voltage range of the second anode material. The controller estimates the charge state of the secondary battery; determines a discharge voltage of the secondary battery by using "a first resistance as a predefined value" corresponding to the charge state in a first condition where the size of the discharge current is less than the size of a threshold current, and by using "a second resistance as a predefined value" corresponding to the charge state in a second condition where the size of the discharge current is greater than the size of the threshold current; and determines output of the secondary battery from the determined discharge voltage and the measured discharge current.
