abstract |
A fluorine-containing ether compound that can provide a hard coating layer or the like with excellent antifouling properties (the ability to repel oil-based inks, the ability to make fingerprints easy to remove), a composition that contains said compound and is used to form a hard coating layer, and an article that has a hard coating layer. This fluorine-containing ether compound has a poly(oxyperfluoroalkylene) chain in which a unit comprising one of the following pairs of groups bound together is repeated: a group comprising one to three of at least one species of C 1 n - n 2 oxyperfluoroalkylene and a group comprising one to three of at least one species of C 3 n - n 6 oxyperfluoroalkylene; or a C 4 oxyperfluoroalkylene group and a different oxyperfluoroalkylene group. This fluorine-containing ether compound also has a linking group bound to the first end of the aforementioned poly(oxyperfluoroalkylene) chain and at least one (meth)acryloyl group bound to said linking group. |
