abstract |
Produced is a rubber composition which can improve low fuel consumption performance, processability and abrasion resistance at the same time in use applications including automotive tires. A modified conjugated diene polymer is produced by a method comprising: a polymerization step of polymerizing a conjugated diene compound or polymerizing a conjugated diene compound and an aromatic vinyl compound in the presence of a metal amide compound that is produced by mixing an alkali metal compound or an alkali earth metal compound with a secondary amine compound, thereby producing a conjugated diene polymer having an active terminal; and a first modification step of reacting the polymerization active terminal with the following compound (C1): (C1) a compound which has a functional group (a) capable of interacting with silica, also has at least one linear structure formed by linearly linking at least three groups or atoms independently selected from a methylene group and a bivalent atom, and can bind to multiple active terminals as mentioned above. |
