abstract The present invention relates to a recombinant strain for producing 2,3-butanediol, comprising (a) an inactivated lactate dehydrogenase and (b) an inactivated sucrose regulator. According to the present invention, it is possible to economically produce 2,3-butanediol using a cheap carbon source, and the efficiency and productivity of 2,3-butanediol is remarkable compared with a wild type.
