abstract The present invention enables a sufficient amount of living tissue to be sampled easily for definitive diagnosis of pathology. A tissue sampling device according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises: a flexible sheath (34); a needle tube (35) which is movably inserted into the sheath (34) and is punctured into living tissue; and a manipulable portion which is disposed on a base end side of the sheath (34) and is used for advancing or withdrawing the needle tube (35). The needle tube (35) has a distal end portion which is provided with a slit (50) that extends toward the base end side from a distal end opening (35c).
