The present invention relates to a method for preparing a carbon-coated lithium iron phosphate nanopowder and a lithium iron phosphate nanopowder prepared by the method, the method comprising the steps of: (a) preparing a mixture solution by adding a lithium precursor, an iron precursor and a phosphorus precursor to a triethanolamine solvent; (b) preparing amorphous lithium iron phosphate nanoseeds by injecting the mixture solution into a reactor and reacting the same; and (c) preparing a lithium iron phosphate nanopowder in which a part of the particle surface or the entire particle surface is coated with carbon, by heat treating the prepared lithium iron phosphate nanoseeds. It is possible to prepare, through a simple two-step process, a lithium iron phosphate nanopowder having a carbon coating layer formed on particles while controlling a particle size and a particle size distribution. In addition, a lithium secondary battery containing the prepared carbon-coated lithium iron phosphate nanopowder as a cathode active material has excellent capacity and stability. |
