A chimeric protein made from a HPV-L2 peptide and an HBs protein, said HPV-L2 peptide being one of the following: (1) a peptide comprising the 20 amino acids of the core sequence region; (2) a peptide comprising part of the core sequence region, namely the six amino acids glycine, glycine, leucine, glycine, isoleucine, and glycine; or (3) a peptide comprising up to 70 amino acids, obtained by adding amino acids derived from the HPV-L2 protein to the N-terminus and/or the C-terminus of the core sequence region. Also, a vaccine for HPV infection and/or hepatitis B, said vaccine containing the aforementioned chimeric protein as an active ingredient. A vaccine containing this chimeric protein exhibits increased expression levels in the host, resulting in improved immunizing capacity (early antibody inducement), and has a wide spectrum, being effective on a large number of HPV types. |
