A rubber composition having a sulfur-crosslinkable double bond in each molecule, having combined therein, per 100 parts by mass of a rubber having a sulfur-crosslinkable double bond in each molecule, at least either 1-100 parts by mass of carbon black or 10-150 parts by mass of an inorganic filler other than carbon black, 0.1-50 parts by mass of a sulfur-containing compound agent, and 0.1-30 parts by mass of a hydrocarbon compound having both end groups thereof thioesterized. This rubber composition can provide a vulcanized product having excellent toughness, without substantially reducing the workability of a non-vulcanized product or the vulcanization properties of the vulcanized product, e.g., at least one type of site out of a cap tread, sidewall, belt, inner liner, carcass, or bead in a pneumatic tire. |
