The invention relates to the field of nuclear technologies, specifically to fuel for thermal neutron nuclear power plants. Provided is a fuel composition comprising a mixture of recovered plutonium and enriched uranium in the form of oxides, characterized in that the enriched uranium is enriched recovered uranium or a mixture of same with enriched natural uranium, having a ratio of components, determined by energy potential, equal to the potential of freshly prepared enriched natural uranium nuclear power plant fuel, providing a 100% load of the reactor core. Possible variants for mixing said components are claimed. Using the proposed composition allows for maximally utilizing the energy potential of uranium and plutonium, including accumulated SNF, and for greatly reducing the number of storage facilities and even decommissioning same. |
