abstract A silanol compound remover which is characterized by being an activated carbon having an oxygen-containing functional group, and which is also characterized in that: the amount of the oxygen-containing functional group is 0.5 mmol/g or more per 1 g of the activated carbon having an oxygen-containing functional group; and the peak top of the micropore peak of the activated carbon having an oxygen-containing functional group is within the range of 0.8-1.1 nm in the differential pore volume distribution as determined from the nitrogen adsorption isotherm by an MP method.nA silanol compound remover having a high silanol compound removal effect can be provided by the present invention.
