abstract | The present invention provides: a method for producing a polymer, whereby it becomes possible to remove metal residues such as titanium, aluminum and lithium with high efficiency from a polymer solution containing the metal residues, to reduce the amount of the metal residue, and to produce a purified polymer solution having a good color and good transparency; and a polymer solution and a polymer, both of which are produced by the production method.nThe method for producing a polymer according to the present invention comprises step (1) of preparing a polymer solution containing at least one metal selected from the group consisting of aluminum, lithium and titanium and step (2) of mixing the polymer solution with water in a volume that is 0.1 to 10 folds the volume of the polymer solution to prepare a mixed solution, wherein the pH value of an aqueous phase of the mixed solution is adjusted to 10 or lower in step (2) when the content of aluminum in a polymer contained in the polymer solution is less than 30 ppm in step (1), and the pH value of the aqueous phase of the mixed solution is adjusted to 5.5 or lower or 7 to 10 in step (2) when the content of aluminum in the polymer contained in the polymer solution is 30 to 200 ppm inclusive in step (1). |
