The present invention relates further to a method for preparationofa2-[2-[bis(carboxymethyl)amino]ethyl-[2-[carboxymethyl-[2-[4-[2-(isothiocyanato-1,10-phenanthrolin-2-yl)ethynyl]anilino]-2-oxo-ethyl]amino]ethyl]amino]acetic acidcharacterized by formula 7 and a method for quantifying a biomolecule in a sample.
