titleOfInvention Mycotoxin adsorbent
abstract A mycotoxin adsorbent according to the present invention comprises a Ca bentonite having a Si-O stretching vibration falling within the range from 1041 to 1090 cm -1 as measured by infrared spectroscopy and a medium diameter ratio (D 50 (W)/D 50 (E)) falling within the range from 60 to 110% by volume as measured by a laser diffraction scattering method. The mycotoxin adsorbent can be produced using an inexpensive naturally-occurring bentonite as a raw material and exhibits excellent aflatoxin- and zearalenone-adsorbing performance.
