Provided is a cation exchange chromatography carrier that can be used suitably for refining of antibodies, and particularly a cation exchange chromatography carrier having satisfactory ability to separate antibody monomers from polymers thereof which are produced in an antibody drug manufacturing process. The cation exchange chromatography carrier for use in refining of antibodies comprises a base carrier containing porous particles, to which is bound a polymer containing at least one strongly cationic monomer unit represented by formula (1) or formula (2) below, in a range of 30 to 100 mol%, inclusive, of the total monomer, the ion exchange capacity of the cation exchange chromatography carrier being from 60 to 300 μmol/ml inclusive. [Formula 1] (In the formula, R 1 , R 2 , and R 3 are independently a hydrogen atom or methyl; and A 1 and A 2 are -R 4 -SO 3 M, where R 4 is C 2 -C 4 alkylene, and M is a hydrogen atom, Na, or K.) |
