abstract Provided is a metal particle dispersion which has low viscosity, excellent dispersibility and excellent dispersion stability, while being suppressed in sedimentation of the metal particles. This metal particle dispersion contains metal particles, a dispersant and a solvent. The metal particles contain one or more elements that are selected from the group consisting of gold, silver, copper, nickel, platinum, palladium, molybdenum, aluminum, antimony, tin, chromium, lanthanum, indium, gallium and germanium. The dispersant is a graft copolymer which has a constituent unit represented by general formula (I) and a constituent unit represented by general formula (II), and wherein at least some nitrogen moieties contained in the constituent unit represented by general formula (I) form a salt together with at least one compound selected from the group consisting of halogenated hydrocarbons, acidic phosphorus compounds represented by general formula (V) and sulfonic acid compounds represented by general formula (VI). (The symbols in general formula (I), general formula (II), general formula (V) and general formula (VI) are as defined in the description.)
