abstract The invention relates to a method for producing calcium silicate hydrate coated particles, said method comprising the steps where, in the first step the specific surface area of substrate particles is measured, in the second step an aqueous mixture is formed of water, substrate and at least one Si-compound, followed by agitation, and in the third step at least one Ca-compound is added to the mixture obtained in the second step, followed by agitation to yield an aqueous suspension comprising calcium silicate hydrate coated particles. The invention also relates to compositions and uses of the obtained calcium silicate hydrate coated particles.
