abstract Provided are a query processing method and device. The method includes: sending first step information about executing a query request of a client to each data node in a system; receiving a failure message sent by at least one data node, the failure message being used for representing that the execution of the first step has failed or is abnormal; according to preset recoverable information, determining a second step for executing the query request, the second step being a starting step for re-executing the query request, and the recoverable information comprising a step without the need of being re-executed when re-executing the query request; and sending second step information to each data node. The query processing method and device provided in the embodiments of the present invention can improve the efficiency of query processing of a parallel database.
