abstract |
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a rectangular secondary battery that prevents welding failure from occurring by temporarily fastening and fixing a sealing cover and enables detection by a leakage test even if welding failure occurs.nThe rectangular secondary battery (1) of the present invention has: a case surface portion (51) formed by opening an injection opening (12) for injecting an electrolyte; a sealing cover (11) disposed at a position that faces the case surface portion (51) and seals the injection opening (12) and having an outer edge portion welded to the case surface portion (51) to seal the injection opening (12); and an adhesive member (14) interposed between the sealing cover (11) and the case surface portion (51) and fixing the sealing cover (11) to the case surface portion (51). A ventilation path (R) that allows a gap portion (C) and the injection opening (12) to communicate with each other so as to enable ventilate therebetween is also provided between the case surface portion (51) and the sealing cover (11), said gap portion (C) being formed at a position on the more external side of a battery case than the adhesive member (14). |
